Hilary Swank marries Philip Schneider in secret woodland ceremony: photos

HILARY Swank has married Philip Schneider in a woodland ceremony in California.

The two-time Oscar winner looked stunning in a gown by Elie Saab Haute Couture Atelier which took 150 hours to made, Vogue reports.

The custom gown was made of silk chiffon, chantilly lace and organza silk and Swank’s veil featured six metres of tulle.

Swank and Schneider tied the knot in Saint Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California surrounded by 800-year-old Redwood trees.

“It was timeless. There is just no other way to describe it,” Swank told Vogue. “I was overwhelmed with such gratitude and thanks to be marrying the man of my dreams and to see all the people we love together in the middle of such a profound setting. It was truly a dream come true.”

Swank’s maid of honour was Law and Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay and was walked down the aisle by her father Stephen Swank who she had put her acting career on hold for three years to care for after he had a lung transplant.

At the reception, Swank and her new husband performed a surprise tap dance for their guests to Moby’s In My Heart.

The actress began dating social venture entrepreneur Schneider in 2016, telling Vogue they had become engaged that year during a holiday in Colorado.

Prior to her relationship with Schneider, Swank was engaged to tennis player Ruben Torres.
